Having just completed a sold out UK tour, and off the back of its success, Ivyrise are moving on to bigger and better things with another headline UK tour lined up for June 2010!
Ivyrise began as just a dream in minds of some young men, but it wasn't long before this became a reality as the band started touring throughout the UK supporting 90s rock favourites Kula Shaker. With the release of debut single ‘Tips,’ then Radio 2 play-listed ‘Disguise,’ and a support slot to open for Bon Jovi on their Lost Highway tour.. this reality quickly started to take on a life of its own.
More highlights have included singles Tips, 1000 Feet and Disguise hitting the Top 10 of the UK Indie Chart with playlistings on Absolute Radio and BBC Radio Two. A sell out UK tour climaxing with the band’s biggest show to date at the O2 Shepherds Bush Empire to a sell out 2000 crowd has attracted a wealth of fans, including Kevin Spacey and Sir Terry Wogan along the way.
The band have realised in this brave new music world that getting out there and interacting with fans is as big a part of their job as playing great songs. Often literally so, and as a result they have now built up a reputation amongst their fanbase as: 'the band that stands with us in the rain!'
Ivyrise are proving themselves to be one of the music industry’s best kept secrets. In the words of Jon Bon Jovi himself, “These guys Rock!”
